Christ, can Cristofe play

Invited guests to the launch in parliament of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month were treated to a great display of Gypsy talent, but one of the most amazing acts was a young man who simply showed up on the day.

Cristofe sors was born in Arles, in the south of France, the home of Gypsy Rumba. His mother is of Catalan origin and he has an Andalusian Arabic father. As a very young man, Cristofe  discovered his gift for the guitar and started songwriting. Cristofe draws his musical influences from the Gypsies of Perpignan as well as the Gypsy Kings with whom he says he has shared many  magnificent moments.

At the age of 19 years old, Cristofe got married to the daughter of Jerome Espinas, the founder of the Gypsy group TEKAMELI, a flamenco singer who has one of the most beautiful voices in the north of Barcelona. Cristofe Sors has numerous concerts in Switzerland, Spain, France, Belguim, Germany.

His dream now is is to travel around the world with his guitar and to sing and share his music with everybody. He says: “I am a person with a lot of ambition and I want to create my own style. A pure Rumba with quelaues Arabic and Balkan influences.”
