Just like me

I shouldn't have to tip toe around,
But in life sometimes it's easier I have found.

For people can be mean and cruel,
Call you names and stare at you.

My culture is my up most pride,
It shouldn't be a thing I hide.

But there are those who will never understand
They'll beat you down with mouth or hand.

A daily fight to get to school, I could fight back but I'd break a rule.

My mother say's I shouldn't have to fight,you culture your beliefs, they are your right!

I if I stay low, and don't say who I am, I might have a clean record time I'm a man.

I can get a good Job and if i keep my nose clean, be a champion boxer all fit & lean.

Or I might be Actor just like Michael Caine his proper famous everyone knows his name.

I wonder if when he was growing up, he told of his roots his culture and blood.

Cause he is Romany just like me! Wonder if he's part of me family tree?
