I am writing to inform you to that the Traveller Movement’s National Conference 2017 is taking place on Friday, 24th November.
Keynote speakers and workshops covering the following subjects:
• Domestic violence
• Child and social care
• Hate crime
• Economic justice
The conference will provide a platform for community members, policy makers and service providers to present and discuss their experiences and approaches on the issues of Community, Equality and Discrimination.
Through the keynote speakers and the workshops the conference aims to break down the social, cultural and political barriers that too often divide Gypsies, Travellers and Roma from wider society.
We want to inspire a new generation of community engagement and community challenge to ensure that the unacceptable inequalities and discrimination these groups continue to face becomes a thing of the past.
