A Gypsy Life For Me Airs To Positive Feedback

17 November 2011

If you missed this summer's talent contest, Travellers Got Talent, then you can catch up with this new eight-part series, A Gypsy Life For Me.

Episode one introduced judges Roisin Mullins and Jentina Chapman in situ at the opening heat at Epsom.

"It's an entertainment show that's supposed to be fun, lively and colourful," Roisin said. "It's not meant to be a documentary about the Gypsy community.

"We're aware of the issues involved in life as a Gypsy and they come through later."

Among the contestants featured were Scarlett Lee, horse Harley and Cristofe Sors as well as the winners of this first heat.

All in all it was a sensitive portrayal of life behind the scenes of this ground-breaking Gypsy contest.

Roisin, who watched the first episode surrounded by friends said, "Everyone that came here really loved it.

"I'm looking forward to next week which was filmed in Derby which will be very different as it was an indoor heat."
