We have been contacted by some people who have seen videos and articles circulating on social media about ‘forcible vaccinations’ taking place for people with suspected coronavirus. TT and other charities have consulted with legal and medical experts and can confirm these rumours are NOT TRUE.
Dr Margaret Greenfields, from Uni of Bucks said, "Whilst I'm always alert to potential breaches of civil liberties I'm worried that if this sort of scaremongering stuff gets out there it will do a lot of harm with people terrified to go and get help if ill or to report potential symptoms of Covid19.”
Here Louise Hooper of Garden Court Chambers explains that social media concerns that changes to the law mean that the Government has the power to force vaccines or other medication on you are wrong and unfounded.
