‘A Piece of Me’ exhibition at Cambridge's Babylon Gallery featured work from five young Travellers and gave a very personal and fascinating insight into their lives and culture. Working with digital cameras, mobile phones and disposable cameras, ‘A Piece of Me' documented their lives, showing images from home-life to landscapes, hobbies to family.
This project was part of a three year Lottery funded youth-led programme, ‘Transformers: Adventures in Creativity', which started in 2007. The programme has been funded by the Big Lottery Fund and managed by ADeC (Arts Development in East Cambridgeshire).
Zoe Davidson, ADeC Projects Officer who organised the show, said: "Over 300 people enjoyed the exhibition over two days.
"It was lovely to have such a positive response from our visitors who were impressed with the quality of the work. We are hoping to tour the show throughout the region later in the year."
