Coronavirus - Northern Ireland Travellers raise money for NHS
22 April 2020
Travellers in Northern Ireland have raised thousands of pounds in a raffle for their local NHS hospital to do their bit during the coronavirus crisis.
Eamon Maughan and Tom Mongan (pictured) set up the raffle so that each person in their Irish Traveller community could buy a ticket for whatever amount they wanted to give.
£6780.00 was raised and it was split between two hospitals - The royal Belfast Hospital for sick children and The Craigavon Area Hospital.
Well done!
