Vacancy: Warwickshire are looking to appoint a Tactical Engagement Officer
Warwickshire County Council is recruiting for the new role: Tactical Engagement Officer within the Gypsy and Traveller team. The post is a full time, 37 hours per week, and is based in Warwick, with the expectation the post holder will provide countywide support to all Warwickshire County Council owned Gypsy and Traveller sites and countywide support and leadership for Unauthorised Encampments.
Working within the Gypsy and Traveller team the successful candidate will support the delivery of the shared vision “creating strong partnerships across all sectors to provide provision that addresses inequality and creates community cohesion within the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, local residents and businesses”.
The Tactical Engagement officer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating consistent evidence led multi-agency approach across Warwickshire to unauthorised encampments, unauthorised developments and breaches of tenancy. To achieve this the successful candidate will need to:
- Work with stakeholders, the Gypsy and Traveller community and the wider community to consider options for the development of negotiated stopping,
- When required work with and alongside internal and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent, timely and effective enforcement action is taken,
- proactively lead multi-agencies in preparing for and managing the effective operation of the Emergency Stopping Place,
Salary £29,577 - £32,234 per annum
