Callout to professionals working to support Gypsy, Roma and Traveller (GRT) young people (aged 14-25) in West Yorkshire
Barriers and enablers to higher education access, success and progression for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller (GRT) young people (aged 14-25) in West Yorkshire.
A research project is currently being carried out by Northumbria University and Buckinghamshire New University, together with partners from Leeds GATE, ACERT and NEON. The research is funded by Go Higher West Yorkshire.
This research aims to understand the barriers and enablers to higher education access, success and progression for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller - and also Showmen and Boater (GRTSB) young people (aged 14-25) in West Yorkshire. Findings will be written up into a report for Go Higher West Yorkshire and used to inform outreach and support activities for GRTSB communities in the area.
This is a call to professionals working to support educational access for GRTSB young people in West Yorkshire to complete an online survey.
For a link to this survey please contact Sherrie.Smith@bucks.ac.uk or natalie2.forster@northumbria.ac.uk
Your knowledge will be hugely helpful in understanding what works and how current provision can improve opportunities for young people. We hope you will consider taking part in the survey.
