Help Moving for Change fight the Bill
On Monday 13th Dec 2021 the House of Lords debated Part 4 of the Policing Bill, which criminalises trespass and gives police more powers to use against roadside camps.
You can help Moving for Change fight the Bill by sharing the latest in their awareness raising campaign to show #ThereIsAnotherWay.
Moving for Change spoke to Allison Hulmes from the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Social Work Association about the impact of Policing Bill on children. She said “The majority of the British public have sleepwalked into a catastrophe… [The bill] has repercussions for all of us. What’s going to happen if a family home is removed [under Part 4 of the Policing Bill], where are these children going to go? The potential outcome for us is that more children could be removed into care.”
