West Yorkshire news – First of Lee Gap Fair

Lee Gap Horse Fair is an ancient fair and at its height hundreds of years ago, it would last for three weeks around St Bartholomew's Day.

Both take place near Ardsley, which is on the outskirts of the City of Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Sarah Lowther, who founded the Bradford Ilkley Drive in memory of her father Sharkey Lowther and who strongly believes in keeping traditions alive, always goes along to the fair and this year took some pics for the Travellers’ Times!
