Traveling Tales to offer free poetry and tapestry workshops for travelling folk – SW and London
Traveling Tales is a touring collaborative project run by three New Travellers, who are offering free art and poetry workshops at venues in the southwest of England and in London.
Join us in creating poetic tapestries inspired by life on the road, we'll start by writing some poetry together - we'll share writing exercises and prompts,” says Maddie Wakeling, a performing artist and writer.
“There will be a chance to write collaboratively with others if you would like,” adds Maddie.
“We'll then paint our favourite lines or words (or the whole verse if your brave!) onto fabric and create a tapestry together."

Traveling Tales will be popping up in Glastonbury, Bristol and London this spring and they hope to create a tapestry that travels with them and is added to by different roadside communities along the way!
“The workshops are free but we ask people to book a ticket so we make sure to have enough recourses and snacks for everyone!,” says Maddie.
The dates are:
16th February: Bristol. Book tickets here.
22nd February: Whitechapel, London. Book tickets here.
1st March: Glastonbury. Book tickets here.

The play will be at Trinity Centre in Bristol 28th and 30th March.
