Are you a young Traveller interested in theatre?

7 October 2020

The Dukes Theatre is looking to work with young women (ages 13-16) from Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller (GRT) communities across Lancaster and Morecambe.

Zoom workshops will take place at Lancaster and Morecambe College. Our Voice is an autobiographical theatre project with live artist Bryony Kimmings and reality star Amy Hart (who is from a Traveller background). The project is a celebration of the culture and traditions of these communities, whilst challenging negative stereotypes.

This project is a new blended learning opportunity in association with the University of Lancaster and is made with, and performed by, young women from GRT communities across the district.

Zoom sessions will take place in a COVID secure classroom at Lancaster & Morecambe College.
