Crystal's Vardo is back on the road for Gypsy Roma Traveller History month

Crystal's Vardo is back on tour 

Now in 2018 Crystal’s Vardo is in its seventh year! Friends Famillies and Travellers invite you to join Crystal on her journey through Romani history; from Northern India, across Persia into Europe and eventually to the shores of Britain where she meets Henry VIII, Queen Victoria and a host of colourful and malevolent characters. 

A performance of Crystal’s Vardo is a great way to celebrate Gypsy Roma Traveller history month in June. It is suitable for school children 7-13 but also is a great tool for training events for professionals and service providers.  To date they have performed the play in schools, theatres, festivals, colleges, prisons and conferences for health professionals and police.

Suzanna King, Crystal's Vardo project manager told Traveller's Times, "Crystal's Vardo aims to raise awareness of Gypsy and Traveller issues and in turn helps to tackle some of the problems of racist bullying in schools and elsewhere".
